Summer....finally & Winter

Well it's here HHH well maybe not a humid as on the coast, but humid never the less. The buffalo are in the woods on hot days. They graze at night an early morning while the grass is still soaked with dew.

Hard to think about snow when it in the mid 80s +. I went out yesterday to map out the snowmobile trails that we will be grooming this year. The landowners and state need the paperwork soon, and advertising deadlines for winter are fast approaching. There is plenty of brushing out to do this fall. The summer rains have made things grow at an alarming rate. You can hardly tell we brushed it out last year in some spots.

Thanks for the comments on the buffs. Common sense tells us that they stay out of the sun - but sometimes the bugs can be so bad in the woods that staying in the sunshine is not a totally bad option... Somehow, Maine has always gone from HHH to Fall in just a few short days... LOL Enjoy it...

I love watching the hummers and notice a close up of the lake lately. Have you taken the feeder down for the season in order to get the hummers to migrate south?
