2012 Summer and Moose hunts

It's been a very quiet summer here, hard to believe that the leaves are changing already. We have been flat out all summer building a restaurant at Abol Bridge. We opened the doors September 1, 90 days to the day that we laid down the first log. Check it out on facebook "abol-bridge". Or better yet, stop in for a great lunch or dinner Thursday through Sunday. Our chef is always cooking up good food in the tradition of the legendary Lake House meals.

It won't be long till the snow flies and we're looking to start snowmobile trail work again. Actually it never stops. Looking at new grooming equipment. Talking with landowner's and on and on. It's a full time year-round job! And well worth it for some of the best trails in the Maine Woods.

Our bear hunts this season guided by D&D Outfitters where a great success. And we look forward to next year's hunt. The 2012 Moose Hunt starts today and we'll get you some pictures of the our hunter's trophy's when they come back in with them. The new road access has booked our cabins and Inn for this years hunts. You can't beat the location right in the middle of zone 4. Plenty of gasoline on hand here for anyone hunting or leaf peeping the area.
