Warming up the groomer now. We'll head out in an hour to groom up the 5-6" of wet snow we got this morning. Looks like more on the way for tomorrow. Real good base out there, you won't be disappointed!

Lakes have around 3' of ice and the fishing has been real good. Better than past years.

2/10 grooming

Just got in from grooming the trails down to Ragged. Boys went up grooming to the trains. Ragged groomed all their trails today also. Tomorrows snow should add a nice crisp top layer to the base we packed down today. Looks like great weather for riding this week.

Snow

NEMO "north" left us with 8' -10" when you get away from the lake. The east wind blew the snow into the woods. Riders south of the village reported even more snow on the trail the further you got towards Ragged's Trail. 20F above zero for today. A nice break after weeks of below zero and -35 to -45F wind chills. Today's warmth should settle dawn the dry fluffy snow and make for great riding. More snow in the forecast for Monday night, 4-6" predicted.

Trails

If your coming from Millinocket way you can take the "Black Pond Trail" and at the halfway mark you'll see a sign that points to Chesuncook. It's about 2 miles on the "10-40 Road/trail" to Caribou Lake. Run up Caibou then Chesuncook to here. Take caution at the mouth of Caribou and Chesuncook, about and acre of open shallow water there between the lakes.

Trail conditions 2/2

Groomed to Ragged's Trail last night. It it what is! Broke up the frozen snow and set it back down again. Look out for bare spots and a few washouts. The washouts should be frozen this morning. Lakes are glare ice. If you don't have studs you''l overheat and nothing fore the sliders. Outside of that go slow and enjoy it.
Off trail has about 10-16" of snow. Un-plowed roads are good going. Put 60 miles on yesterday and pick up a few sheds.
