After 18-24" of fresh snow the grooming was a little slow, but excellent! Should be the best riding of the season. Chesuncook trails are all groomed and spoke with the Ragged Rider's groomer. They groomed Farrah Mt, Black Pond, Maxfield Brook and Spencer Mt trails. +20F this morning so the trails should have set up real good.

3/15 Trails

Just returned from grooming. +15F should set the trails up good for the morning. Ragged was also out grooming tonight. Good base down with a few areas with slush and water so watch out. May be frozen in the morning.

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Hundreds of riders yesterday said the trails where" fantastic but by the end of the day, beat up". Just walked in the door from grooming the Chesuncook trails for the past 7 hours. +18F now, so the trails should be excellent in the morning. Heard Ragged Riders on the radio, out grooming also.

Another beautiful day forecast-ed for today, Yesterday/Saturday was outstanding! Thanks to everyone that stopped in yesterday. We really do appreciate your business.Sorry we can't do better on the connector trails to trains, but logging in the area shut down our regular trail. It's still worth the trip, not to mention the great scenery and northern views of Katahdin.

We where a little overwhelmed by the amount of sledders stopping in. You folks are great and very understanding and patient, Thank You! We where short handed, but made it through! You all make grooming the long the hours well worth it, especially when everyone enjoys the ride! So enjoy it again today. Be safe.

3/6 Trail Report

Groomed from Chesuncook Village to the Spencer Mt Trail on the Ragged Loop. Colder temps and strong winds helped to freeze it up and dry the snow out. Ragged also groomed trails. Trails are flat and no bare spots, ice, or slush on our trails. Lakes are in great shape up here, no slush and flat as pancake w/6" + of snow on them.
